If the fan oven is not being heat up correctly, there could be a problem with a faulty fan oven element. The element provides the heat source that is then circulated around the inside of the oven cavity.
Oven elements can fail for several reasons. The internal filament could burn out, which would cause the element to short circuit. There may be more visible signs of a problem with the element, such as splits, bulges or blow holes on the element itself. Another sign of a faulty element is if you can see bright spots during use.
The element overheating, as a result of a failed thermostat, and the element being blown due to the expansion and contraction of the element coils are also possibilities as to why you may have a faulty element.
